Victor Noir

Well shit. I was kind of hoping that I'd be able to change my URL to VictorNoir in order to be aligned with my movements to that everywhere else. I can technically do that here too - but apparently not without paying DW for the privilege. I... guess that makes sense. But god damn it; guess I'm stuck here for a good while longer.

On the plus side, I did at least update a few of my interests in the profile page. However, I'm appalled that there are apparently no Conclave kink memes on DW. What has our fandom society come to? A lot of the people in it are roughly my age, so you'd think some enterprising weirdo (affectionate) would've done it already. I swear to god, if this is them drinking the Tumblr communities kool-aid...

Can you tell that people wanting to abandon more accessible forums makes a blood vessel of mine want to burst? And I'm saying this as somebody who actually has a relative hang of Discord. Granted, my opinion on that is that it should only be used for much smaller, private gatherings; it should not be the default fandom gathering space. Something about the latter - especially when they start getting massive - just makes me socially check the fuck out. And, you know, a chatgroup is not exactly the most archival-friendly format to maintain.

On the one hand, I haven't done shit regarding drawing. Yikes. But on the other, Devil May Cry and Chernobyl happened for me this year. And to be honest, I haven't had such a good year with media since 2015 with Kingsman, Mad Max, Undertale, and The Force Awakens, so really - I'll be more than happy to at least take this.

Now just gotta pray that Midsommar, Fire Emblem Three Houses, and Death Stranding with keep knocking it out of the park for me.

So already Pillowfort's kinda going tits up in terms of uh... keeping my interest. I'm hoping that we'll find something else in the coming months - hopefully very image-friendly - but for the moment, let's get yet another Dreamwidth blog! Hopefully I'm settled on my name this go-around.
